HOW TO FIND HAPPINESS

An atheist was once addressing a crowd of people in the open air. He was trying to persuade them that there was no god and no devil, no heaven and no hell, no resurrection, no judgment and no life to come. He advised them to throw away their bibles and not to listen to what the preachers said. He recommended them to think as he did and to be like him. He talked boldly. The crowd listened eagerly. It was the blind leading the blind. Both were falling into the ditch as in (Matthew 15.14).

In the middle of his address a poor old woman suddenly pushed her way through the crowd to the place where he was standing. She stood before him. She looked him straight in the face. ’sir,’ she said in aloud voice, ‘’Are you happy?’ The atheist looked scornfully at her and gave her no answer. ‘’Sir,’ she said again, ‘I ask you to answer my question. Are you happy? You want tus to throw away our Bibles. You tell us not to believe what preachers say about Christ. You advise us to think as you do and be like you. Now before we take your advice we have a right to know if it will do us any good. Do your fine ideas give you much comfort? Do you yourself really feel happy?’’

The atheist stopped and attempted to answer the old woman’s question. He stammered, and shuffled, and fidgeted, and endeavored to explain his meaning. He tried hard to turn the subject. He said He ’’had not come there tom preach about happiness. ‘’But it was of no use. The old woman stuck to her point. She insisted on her question being answered and the crowd took her part. She pressed him hard with her inquiry and would take no excuse. At last the atheist was obliged to leave the ground and sneak off in confusion. He could not reply to the question. His conscience would not let him: He dared not say that he was happy.

To really be happy the highest needs of a man’s nature must be met and satisfied. God has created us in such a way we will only be truly happy and complete when we come to Him through the Lord Jesus Christ. The true Christian is the only happy person, because their conscience is at peace. That mysterious witness for God, which is to mercifully placed within us, is fully satisfied and at rest. The conscience sees in the priesthood and mediation of Christ a complete answer to all its fears. It sees that through the sacrifice and death of Christ, God can now be just, and yet be the justifies of the ungodly. The conscience no longer bites and stings and makes its possessor afraid of himself. The Lord Jesus Christ has amply met all its requirements. Conscience is no longer the enemy of the true.
Christian, but his friend and adviser. Therefore he is happy.

The plain truth is that without Christ there is no happiness in this world. He alone can give the Comforter who abides forever. He is the sun; without Him we never feel warm. He is the Light, without Him we are always in the dark. He is the Bread, without Him we are always starving . He is the Living Water, without Him we are always thirsty. Give people what you like. Place them where you please-surround them with all the comforts you can imagine – it makes no difference. Separate from Christ, the Prince of Peace, we cannot be happy.

Come to Him, pleading with Him to show you His mercy and grant you His salvation to wash you in His own Blood and take your sins away – to speak peace to your conscience and heal your troubled soul. Tell him all this unreservedly. This is coming to Christ.
You have everything to encourage you. The Lord Jesus Himself invites you. He proclaims to you as well as to others, ‘’Come unto me, all ye that Labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, For I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.’’ (Matthew 11;28-30) Wait for noting. You may feel unworthy. You may feel as if you did not repent enough. Wait no longer, Come to Christ.

You have everything to encourage you. Thousand have walked in the way you have invited to enter and have found its good. Once, like yourself, they served the world and plunged deeply into foolishness and sin. Once, like yourself they became weary of their wickedness and longed for deliverance and rest. They heard of Christ and His willingness to help and save; they came to Him by faith and prayer and after many a doubt and hesitation, they found Him a thousand times more gracious than they have expected. They rested on Him and were happy; they carried His cross and tasted peace. Oh, walk in their step; I beseech you, by the mercies of God, to come to Christ. If you would be happy, I entreat you to come to Christ. Don’t delay. Awake from your slumber; arise, and be free, This day come to Christ.

THAT PAIN SHALL DISAPPEAR.

Psalm 63:1,
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirtieths for thee, my flesh longevity for thee in a dry and thirsty land.

I want you to know that you are not forgotten no matter what you are passing through.
The lord is your God and a lifter of thy head. He knew what we will become.

Hold to him. He will do which he has promised you at the appointed time.

Take for instance what Job in the scripture really went through , Job 1:6-22, Satan Allowed to Test Job. Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. Your case is different.

You shall win and triumph in the name of Jesus. DON"T GIVE UP. I see you testify and glorified God. Then you shall stand and thank Him for strengthen you and not to give up.

Stay bless, see you on top. God bless you.

Life rewards those who are willing to continue to push themselves irrespective of what limits are presented.
And no matter how many times you fall and how tired you may feel, let those quotes about not giving up inspire you to continue on the road that will take you to where you always wanted to go.

Remember that anything worthwhile takes time and requires some serious energy, dedication, and sacrifice.

TRIALS AND TRUSTING GOD

Text: James 1:1-15.

KEY VERSE "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing" (James 1:3,4).

"The tree that never had to fight for sun and sky and air and light, that stood out in the open plain and always got its share of rain, never became a forest King but lived and died a scrubby thing..." So wrote Douglas Malloch in his poem, Good Timber. Similarly, as observed by Mildred Witte Struven, "A clay pot sitting in the sun will always be a clay pot. It has to go through the white heat of the furnace to become porcelain."

That is the case with our faith. Our text makes it clear that the trying of our faith produces patience which in turn works out our perfection. Our attitude therefore when we "fall into divers temptations" is to "count it all joy." Temptation, as used here, implies trials, persecution and, in some cases, affliction.

When a Christian encounters such painful experiences, it does not necessarily imply God's displeasure with him. Often, it is simply a trial of faith which at the end produces positive outcome.
There is a tendency for an inexperienced believer to misunderstand such situations and succumb to despair.

At such times, it takes a good dose of godly wisdom to place things in proper perspective and make right choices in line with God's will.

Is your faith in the furnace of trial? Once you are confident that you have a good relationship with God, do not despair. Be encouraged that the experience will work out patience and perfection. Even if this is not your present experience, prepare your mind for it. It is part of our spiritual growth process.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Trial is the Christian's promotional examination.
MEDITATION
Don't count it a strange experience please

1. The reality v2..You will at one time or the other experience divers (not just one) situations that will tend to shake your faith John 16:33.
2. The righteousness v2,12.
This is different from temptations to sin. Believers are not to fall into temptations but we will fall into trials. We are not to endure temptations but to resist them; we are to endure trials. No sinner will experience a trial of faith because they don't have saving faith.
3. The rationale v3.
Trials of faith are permitted by God to try, test, toughen and make your faith triumphant in trouble times.
4. The roughness v8.
It is a rough experience that will expose your hypocrisy and unfaithfulness, if you don't have genuine faith, thereby propelling you to seek for the real experience.
5. The radiance v2.
Radiate the joy of the Lord without despondency because trials show that God is interested in pulling you out of the register  of hypocrites and ordinary Christians.
6. The rightness
Every believer will experience it because there is no success without scrutiny, triumph without test, divine promotion without definite purification.
7. The result
Perfection of grace and character needed to fully enjoy and be used of God to the fullest.
8. The rule v4.
You must endure to the end if you want to enjoy the full blessings and benefits.
9. The resource vv5-7.
Always ask for wisdom and grace to sail through with joy.
10. The reward v12.

Eternal reward, including the crown of life, will be given to the triumphant.

Thank you God because trial of faith will not crush me and it is for my good
Holy Spirit, ever give me joy of the Lord to radiate His glory whenever I am tried
I hereby ask for grace and strength to always overcome all my trials and endure to the end
Lord, I ask for the joy of the Lord, which the world cannot take away, for those passing through trials of faith in the Church

ARE YOU FEELING DEPRESSED, DOWN? THERE IS GOOD NEWS FOR YOU.

Depression can be refers as tribulation, unexpected challenges, suffering, hardship. Feeling depressed can come in any form to humans’ life. Depression has ruined many lives. But I want you to know that Jesus has your back.

Sometimes you may not understand what’s going on but you can be rest assured that God has the final say in your life. I want you to know that the poorest person on earth is not the person without money but someone without Jesus. If God brings you to it means, he will bring you through it. It is not over in your life.

The Lord Jesus has your back. You are not left alone in all journey and struggles of life and gives you hope for a brighter future.  There is light at the end of the tunnel. Always remember, lots of people in the scripture have fought for the same course you are running.

Rollo May, in his quote, described “depression as the inability to construct a future”.

Matt Haig, said in his own word that “it is very hard to explain to a person who has never known serious depression or anxiety the sheer continuous intensity of it. There is no off switch”.

Elizabeth gilbert, “When night falls again and again, and you have no idea where you are, you should know that you are on the path that you don’t even know from which direction the sun rises anymore by”.

WHAT DID GOD SAY CONCERNING ANXIETY?
When you feel down, look above, God is there, you are not alone your creator is with you. Let’s quickly scan through the scripture verses.

John 16:32 reads “Be still in the presence of the Lord (remain calm at all time); wait patiently for Him to act”.

Psalm 37:7, I want you to know that God listen to all your heart request from time to time.

Isaiah40;31, But those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Philippians 4:13, makes us to understand that “We can do ALL things through Him who strength us”.

Jeremiah, 29:11, God plans for your life, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the lord, plans for welfare and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

1peter 5:7,No matter how big they is the problem. Cast it all (Depression, anxieties) upon Him, because He cares for you. Proverb 3:5-6, psalm 30:5,
When you are sad? Search for Him and Pray.

I want you to know that the storm that was sent to break you is going to be the storm God uses to make you.  When you are down, depressed lift up your eyes to the hills, and help shall arise from the Lord the maker of heaven and earth Psalm 121; 1-2.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” The Good News: Dealing with depression can be scary. But this verse reminds you that with God on your side, there's nothing to fear.

There are a lot of ways to help build a trust in God, but here are a few that helped me. Request guidance. It's ok to ask for help from God. For clarity.
Seek support and culture. In times when you're struggling, it's ok to ask those you love for help. ...

Hear. Keep an eye on Jesus.
Though it's always been a human issue, nobody really knows why. But what Christians know is that when we suffer God is not silent. Depressed children of God have been able to find hope and a reason to endure on every page of the Scriptures. Take for instance 2Corinthians 4:16-18.

Take your pain to God
You can begin to experience the inward renewal experienced by the apostle Paul when you come to God with your suffering. By the time we suffer, God seems far away. You think He exists, but it seems as though He's too busy with everything else, or He just doesn't care.

God is good enough to end the misery, after all, but He has not. Using the Psalms to help you find words concerning your heart that will speak to God.

Do your personal prayers to God in Psalm 88 and Psalm 86.
Be on alert against supernatural warfare. Depressed people are highly vulnerable to arguments by Satan that God is not healthy.

The death of Jesus on the cross proves the love of God for you. This is the only tool that's powerful enough to stand against the lies of Satan. 1 John 4:9,10 (Romans 5:6-8) Know on surviving and persevering. (Romans 5:3, James 1:2-4, Hebrews 12:1)

Know this about depression: Not saying the whole truth. It means you’re all alone, nobody loves you, God doesn't matter, you’re never going to feel something different and you can't go on another day.

Be constant in prayer until you break the chain of depression and victory will be yours. Remain blessed.
